Mr. Coffman has extensive psychiatric clinical experience having worked continuously in mental health care since 1982. His career includes positions as unit manager of the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, Child-Adolescent Psychiatric Unit, Eating Disorder Unit, and Manager of Psychiatric Staff Development at Brookwood Medical Center. He was a full time Psychiatric Nursing Instructor at Jefferson State Community College from 1991 until 1998. He joined Grayson & Associates PC as a full time Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist in 1998. Currently he assists Dr. Joseph Lucas in the Trussville Office. Areas of particular expertise include adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and the evaluation of patients who may need treatment with medication.
